While checking my Facebook account, a pop-up advertisement showing a dining room set I was browsing for purchase showed up. It had a few minutes remaining to "take advantage of the offer". Unfortunately, I did not pay the required attention to notice that it was a fraudulent website (poor grammar, fake Board of Directors pictures, fake store picture, etc.) I ended acting too quickly on a website that looks suspicious, called the Customer Service number that was listed, and a representative of the Company, Bed Bath and Beyond took the call, I explained what happened and she couldn’t locate the order # I provided, when my fear came to reality: I purchased via a scammer website! Now, I lost my money and don't have either an email confirmation of the "order" placed.
