I had the same experience as the man from Indiana. He told me that he wanted to feature my restaurant on the front cover and do a story. It also said it would be in the Feb 2024 issue but it was already Jan 26, 2024. He wanted me to Zelle him $375 for front cover, 12 months of advertising, and a spot on Walmart.com. I have been in the BBQ business for 25 years. After doing a little investigating online, there is NO HISTORY of this magazine ANYWHERE. When I called him out on this, he got very defensive. I just ignored him at that point. Don’t be fooled by this scammer. Luckily, he didn’t get a penny from me.

I run a small BBQ catering/ food vendor business out of my home. I caught the attention of a man that used the name Dominique White by one of the Facebook ads I ran. White contacted me via Whatsapp and stated that he would like to put me on the cover of his BBQ and Grill magazine and do an article about me inside the magazine. White also stated that he could create a website for me and get the name of my business trademarked. Between the dates of April 21-24th 2023 I sent White $500 through Zelle for these services. As of the writing of this description (9/19/23) none of these services have been completed. I have contacted White via phone, text, and email asking about the status of these services NUMEROUS times. White continues to give excuse after excuse as to why these services are not completed. I recently requested a refund of the $500 to which no response has been returned from White. White did create a "magazine cover" for the supposed magazine but it could have been done using Canva in 10 minutes. Upon doing my own research I have found Dominique using several variations of his name for different Facebook accounts and he claims to be the CEO of about 9 different businesses from food shows to beauty pageants. I will list the different aliases, magazines and television shows he claims to operate below.
