On November 14, 2023, I applied for a position as an Entry Level Marketer at a firm called Anchor International based in NYC over my college career website called Handshake. On November 18 I received several text messages without identifying information asking if I was coming into the office and to verify my direct deposit details. I then got a message from " Anchor International Co, " a marketing firm that wanted to interview me for the role I applied for over my college career site. Once I identified that the person was texting regarding a job I attempted to reschedule for Monday to Friday and asked for additional information about the address, job position, and duties, as well as the NY staff I would meet with to discuss the role. The texter was allusive and did not respond directly to my questions. I checked the phone number which was created in November 2023 and also searched the address provided. The company does not seem to be legitimate, and there is no work product or client information for the marketing company provided on their minimal and poorly designed website.

I am grateful that the fraudster only attempted to withdraw monies and that they were unable to do so. It is concerning that they have my social security details, banking info, mailing address, employment details and personal information and that I was preparing for the interview scheduled today when I checked their business address to realize that this is a dangerous lure. Please investigate further! The job posting and websites are listed below:
