I am disabled; I was looking for yarn online so that I could crochet things for charity. When I put yarns in the search engine, a site calling itself "Joann x Michaels" popped up and I clicked on it. Everything about it looked legit; basket, checkout, everything. The only thing that kind of seemed a bit red-flaggish was the fact that a little message kept popping up saying "you have one hour left to complete your order." Then it was a countdown: "you have 53 minutes," etc. So I felt compelled to hurry so that I would get what I needed to order. This was probably to keep me from thinking things through--after all, their prices seemed too good to be true. I knew Joann had been going out of business, so I just figured they were trying to unload all that leftover inventory. Hah. The joke's on me. Especially since I went back and found that the website address is called "areporn.com". Less than 24 hours later, I got a scammer email purporting to be from Bank of America Visa. !!!!!!!
