Home Owner ID: XX########

Attention: (My name, but with the wrong middle initial)

This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the property at (my current address) secured by your current lender which is _______ (misspelled prior lender). We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice.

Please Call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU 888-467-3210.

The bottom of the spam is a fake "check" with my misspelled name on it, but with no signature. It states it is for $199.00 and says "Allocated Waiver" above the $199.00. The back of the "check" even has a line with an "X" and "ENDORSE HERE". However, the bottom of the front side of the check states, "THIS IS NOT A CHECK".

**I decided to call the number they listed to see who answered and it was a Home Warranty call center. NOTE: I have never had a home warranty, and the address they list in their letter (my actual current address) is an apartment!

Threatening letter delivered via USPS regarding "Final Notice" with our mortgage lender's name adjacent. "This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding your property...secured by you current lender which is________" ..."call immediately as this is final notice." There is a fake check attached to the bottom for $199.00.

There is no return sender. There is no company name provided. ONLY business name given is that of our Lender. So deceptive!

The back of the check has endorsement line, and notation regarding Federal Reserve and includes language to infer that it is a legitimately negotioable check.

POSTAL PERMIT 1535 is on front of envelope

I did not respond to the scam but I received a mailed "Final Notice" about a $199 "Allocation Waiver" that said I needed to call the number and "verify information". They had the name of my original mortgage lender though they had fine print at the bottom of the mailer stating that they were not affiliated with the lender.
