I fount an add for a 6 year old Caterpillar 299D2 skid steer on Facebook Marketplace. I found three other ads from different locations within my state. They all had different profile names, they all had responses turned "off" in vacation mode. They all said to take a look at another website (www.bobgat.com) that referenced the name "Barbara Foster."

Poor Barbara - recently divorced (it's how she came in possession of the machine), throat surgery, having to move in with her daughter, one failed sale. Just bad luck after bad luck. The machine is currently being stored at Albion Logistics in Columbia, S.C. and will be sent to me FREE in Arizona as soon as I pay $21,999.00 (more than the previous complaint, but hey - inflation ya know...). An invoice arrives stating that Ms. Foster's address is 612 Corley St, Lexington, SC 29072. Maybe the Ashley Fuentes referenced in the other complaint is her daughter? The escrow agent is the same...but has relocated to Lexington too.

I've done lots of wire transfers in my time, but never had to send my SSN or Driver's license via email. I've always gotten the destination account info but then was able to contact the receiver by phone and verify the information first.

I was trying to buy a tractor online. I located the seller on Facebook Marketplace. It was a lawn and garden tractor for $13,300. The seller is Ashley Fuentes 612 Corley St. Lexington SC 29072 No phone number. email is [email protected]. She said her husband recently passed away. She needed surgery. She was moving back to her late parents home. She was using the shipping company Albion Shipping. She told me to direct any questions to them. Albion Shipping 1730 Main St. Columbia SC 29201. Phone number 888-804-9860.. According to their letterhead they have been in business since 1998. Company wanted only a wire transfer of $13,300. Phase one they needed my Social Security number, picture of drivers license front and back, Selfie of me. This was for verification purposes. Sent me an escrow form with directions how they do it. Also sent me an invoice. I was uncomfortable. I contacted my bank to see if this is protocol. I thought this is odd for a wire transfer. Why did they need all this information. My bank said they would just charge a fee. This would not be a requirement to do a wire transfer. I would transfer the money then shipping process will begin. I did not send any money. The escrow agent Anthony Behles 307 Pelion Rd. Pelion SC 29123. No phone number. I also have his date of birth and Social Security number.
