A company falsely claiming to be a legitimate business with offices in Toronto and Montreal called Airwallex tricked me into working for them to process currency exchanges. Each day I fulfilled a set of 60 orders, I would receive a small commission. This seemed like an relatively easy way to make a little extra money on the side. It started out well and I was able to withdraw my commissions but then the size of the orders quickly escalated and, despite fulfilling all requirements to be able to withdraw my earnings, the company kept finding ways to prevent me from withdrawing. This made me suspicious and, upon investigating further, I'm pretty confident this is a scam. I've contacted, what appears to be the real Airwallex who has reported this activity as being with an unknown third-party not related to Airwallex at all, and suggested I contact the authorities ASAP. I can provide much more details including transaction history, screenshots etc but need council here for my foolish mistake.
