I was contacted by a supposed debt collector for a bill that was over 4 years old. When I contacted them to figure out what this bill was for and to try and obtain a copy of this bill, I was told that they would not send me a copy of it and was told that they had already sent me a copy of it in March of 2023 when they acquired the debt, and that they do not send things out more than once. So since they sent this supposed copy of the bill three and an half years ago they refused to send me another one, even after countless times of saying that I have never received anything from them and this is the first I am hearing of this bill and that I was sent to a debt collector. After some research, I discovered that I had already paid that bill in February 2023 to the original company, prior to them ever acquiring this debt. So not I’m not sure how they were even able to get this information.
