I have received several phone calls from people claiming to be with Medicare. As a former government employee, I know that the government will never call on the phone. I challenged the caller about who he really was and who he was with and he admitted he was with United Health Care. I know several family members that have been scammed by these people. My veteran brother was one and his wife was the other. They started taking money out of his social security check automatically to sign him up for their insurance. He can't hardly afford that. His wife can't either.
