Good afternoon,

We received the attached official looking correspondence regarding our home loan. Countrywide Home Loans has not been our lender since 2009. The letter refers to an "important matter" and asks us to "please call immediately..." creating a sense of urgency. It is clearly a phishing scam of some kind. It upsets me that correspondence like this is legal and there are innocent people out there responding to notices like this. I hope that something can be done to stop this type of scamming.
