I’m literally A MINOR and I got this letter in the mail about a car I don’t even have but my father owns. Me not being dumb and looking the number up first found out it was a scam, I'm actually really scared because how do they know my full government name as a MINOR I need them to get in trouble in some way now.

What can I say with these scams that has not already been said. Ever since we have outsource employment for there foreign companies in exchange for cheap labor this stuff had got was worst.

Think about it all your major companies do it from your cell phone, communication companies, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and so on. Pretty much anything you could think of is outsourced to another country for Customer Care even my freaking bank. sometimes they could help for most of times they can’t and then you can’t get a hold of an American representative for that company. It is getting ridiculous that this is allowed to happen. I went on rocket fast website to delete some apps that I didn’t know that I had for equity. I was putting in my stuff and I put in my car information and I wanted me to get the Kelley Blue Book value of that car so from there that’s where I got this letter to start coming in and phone calls more than usual So rocket fast it’s not really just be all tell all thing don’t put your information in there and Kelly blue book value has all these Other pop-ups on their website to making that a worse website to be on now too.

Same thing as all the other posts on here, received a pink post card in the mail, very official looking. I called the number, before even thinking to look up the number, and they answered with no company name provided. I asked if this was Hyundai, and he said "No, we just work with all the different manufacturers." They knew my name, type of vehicle, and vehicle's VIN number somehow. I hung up once I realized what was going on. Received a call back from a completely different number, +16142953048, from a different person saying she could get the monthly payments down even more for me. Blocked both numbers. Please beware, and someone please find a way to get these people in trouble for this. The wrong person, like a vulnerable elderly person, could easily fall for this and get scammed out of thousands of dollars. They wanted $245 today, and $215 monthly to cover my 2016 Hyundai until 2029! LMAO yeah right.

Contact your states attorney general office online or by phone and give them the info you’ve got.

Just received a very professional looking notice. Pictures attached.

Got a "Final Notice" Supposedly from Toyota but eith no return address and only an 800# to contact. Language us suspect saying the "notice is to inform (you) that the vehicle service contract on (your) Toyota has expired, or will expire soon...
and to please call them immediately to activate my protection program...I never had a service contract on my vehicle so that's utter bs and I know that Toyota doesn't arbitrarily make outgoing calls to customers or send them notices by mail without a return address to sell them a "protection program." I've been a Toyota customer my entire life. These guys are scammers sitting in some hole in the wall call center in India or the Phillipines/Indonesia and buying or hacking into people's information when they get a car insurance quote. I made the dumb mistake if using one of those cheap car onsieance websites bc my teenage daughter got her license and I needed to get a quote to add her. Well, I won't make that mistake again. Not sure if they mirrored the site, bought the info or just stole it but suddenly I'm getting unsolicited calls, and all kinds of letters and postcards notices about car warranty programs. Ridiculous scammers. Please people, use discernment and do not give these [censored] any information. They are looking to connect with trusting older folks who won't give this a second thought and will believe this really is their car dealer. They will rob you blind if you let them!

Got a letter in the mail of "Final Notice" regarding my vehicle. No company name on the post card, just a phone number. When I called, they would not provide me with a company name. Kept say they were "making sure I extended my car's warranty". Fortunately, I purchased the extended warranty through my dealership when I bought the car so I knew they were just phishing for personal info. DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO!

Hi meet mitnickcyberpro on instagram

Got a letter in the mail of "Final Notice" regarding my vehicle. No company name was stated on the letter, only a phone number. When calling this number, they could not provide me the exact company name but wanted money for a "warranty" although I currently have a warranty. Once I said I had a warranty through another company, the guy on the phone got really rude and told me to "enjoy myself with that bad attitude" and hung up. Sorry you will not get my information.

They sent a card with no return address, called the 800 number on the card for daughters/my car, they claimed that a free service contract for the vehicle. 1-800 number listed for a protection program based on the car's mileage. Gave the scammer the VIN # for the car.
