Got a text saying a document recieved in their office with my name. I called the number and a lady who did not identify the place of employment said i would be getting a court order because I have not been paying a bill. In no way am i associated withsaid bill. Nor is it on any of my credit reports. I guess ill wait for the court order.

I was told I had an unpaid credit card debit from 15 years ago through Household Bank. That I was being sued to collect the debt. They provided my Name, Current address, an address from 2010, the last four of my social security number. I told them I didn't recall having a credit card from them. They claimed to have sent a letter outlining the charges. I did not receive said letter. They then gave me options to pay 1/2 the debt in increments over a couple months or pay 1/4 of the debt in 2 payments over 2 weeks or face being served paper and going to court and face paying $3000 plus. What law firm collects debts? I called Household Bank and they have no record of me having a credit card through them and suggested this was possibly a scam. I am more than a little concerned that they have all of this personal information about me.

Similar to others, my entire family and I received a call from a 575 number threatening to contact my employer (RED FLAG #1).

They did not give any company name in the messages left. (RED FLAG #2)

When trying to call the 575 number back and get a voicemail (RED FLAG #3). They left a different 951 number in the voicemail to call back (RED FLAG #4).

I called the 951 number and got an angry woman who REFUSED to give me an address (RED FLAG #5) and gave me the company name of "Franklin, Jones and Morgan in California".

When searching the California Secretary of State there is NO active company by that name (RED FLAG #6)

People, Please be careful. There is no such thing as debtors prison and these scammers will try to pressure you by calling your family and acquaintances.

NEVER give money over the phone and ALWAYS do your own research.

...and remember, a minute of a scammers time wasted is a minute they were not able to scam someone else.
