Invoice scam for fax routing service

Received an email Invoice dated 08/17/2026 for the fax number of the business I own. Invoice was for "Secure Fax Routing & Encryption - Annual Plan", "Fax Number Spoofing Preventions", and "Automated Delivery Confirmation & Audit Log". Total Due was $479.85. They wanted me to send a check with a remittance stub. The invoice was not from a company I've ever heard of nor used. Their invoice had an old address (the business had moved 1.5 yrs ago) for my company.

Fake Invoice from Med Pulse for Faxing Services

We received a fax from Med Pulse addressed to Accounts Payable - Office Administrator with a bill for $479.85. The invoice states it is for one year of faxing services (1- secure fax routing & encryption - annual plan, 2- fax number spoofing prevention, 3- automated delivery confirmation & audit log). The only information on the invoice pertaining to our office is the address, it did NOT have our office name.

We received a fax from Med Pulse on 04/03/2026 to "Accounts Payable - Office Manager" listing our address, billing us $358.80 for Secure Fax Routing Service - Annual Plan / Routing and support coverage for our fax number at $24.95/unit. Additionally there was a Delivery Confirmation Add-On / Automatic delivery receipts for outbound faxes at $4.95/unit. They gave their account info for ACH/EFT payments to be made to Bank of America with Routing # 111 000 025 and Account # 4881 2375 2446.
