Person called and identified himself as working for USAA fraud department. My card was used at Walmart to buy an item for >$700. To verify myself he asked for phone password, log on information and password and identify address and phone number associated with the account. He then send a series of verification codes and asked me to read them back to him. He then send a "fake" fraud alert and asked me to click yes that I would pay them $1000 amount. When I told him I had already clicked no he tried to send it again. When we were disconnected (I hang up) he called me right back. I got on the other line to call USAA and he told me don't we are already on the line. I hung up on him again, called USAA and reported it.

Person claimed to be bank employee went through same step as I've done in the pass as removing a card off cash app only he wanted to make sure that it wasn't working however they where in my bank somehow to make it appear as I had been hacked I could see I had charges that I hadn't made so I felt this was real so he had me put in number not dollar amount me not realize it's my money I seen representative at the top. Assured no money was coming from my account but it was on to cash app I didn't see and still couldn't. My husband could a short time after we hung up so we call the bank they said scam they used the bank same link same steps as if they worked there. Or been hacked. The same day the bank was having trouble with all there debit cards. I know they say they never will call but Ussa has called me and will send a link asking for the pin just like this man did. He tricked me and new this banking system very well. Scam or an former employee or family. I reported it I was told because I moved the money and this is the new scam they do. And who else better to know make the customer move it then we aren't held accountable perfect scheme

I received a call on my house phone. I have Magicjack service and have the calls transferred to my cellphone and if I recognize the number I will answer it. The number on both phones was USAA 800 531-8722. I answered the call on my cellphone. The person said his name was Michael Turner from USAA Fraud Alert Dept. He said suspicious activity was showing up on my account. He verified information on my account. He said someone (a Ashley Meyers) in Phoenix ,AZ was attempting to transfer funds. He said they have an Apple 12 ProMax and he gave me the IP Address. I felt a little uneasy and told him to call me back on my cell phone. I wanted to see if the phone number was also from USAA, it was. He also called the last 4 numbers of my account, and 2 other family members names. He said he was calling to help me from the fraud alert team, because they were trying to use Zelle which was a third party, so I participated with his help to stop the transaction. It sounded like he was in an office. He said within 3-4 hours my $996.11 would be returned, and he would call me Saturday morning. He did call, but I didn’t answer the call. I then called USAA and found out that I was scammed.

I answer a call that I thought was from my BANK (SCAM) ended up being a scam, after all, we said and done. At the beginning of January 2023, a male voice stating he was from USAA BANK (Scam) told me my account was locked and I needed to install an app and tell him these 6 numbers that he would send me and I was to read back to him. The app apparently opened my phone to the hackers to see everything on the screen so when the SCAMer then had me open my checking account he had everything he needed. My password, my account numbers and I was toast. I couldn't keep money in my account, every time I had money deposited the hacker would pull it right out either by way of ZELLE or Electronic Check. USAA BANK is so frustrated with the whole situation that my accounts are being closed not because I requested that to happen but because USAA has decided to no longer do business with me because of these people (aka scam artists) who got their dirty fingers into my bank accounts.

They called my bank (USAA) and gave me a code to read back to them and then had me put an app on my phone so the male voice on the phone could walk me through unlocking my account. That was in early January 2023, since then I've had that same number call me several times wanting to get back into my account the same way but one time I actually had a “real”

USAA customer service agent customer service agent on the phone when the same male voice (SPAM) called with the USAA customer service agent sharing the line with me I answer the SPAM call. The male voice attempted to get me to open up my account to him, but with the USAA customer service agents help he busted his butt over the phone with it all being recorded by USAA on the line. The male voice (SPAM) once he realized he was busted quickly hung up the line and disappeared. The male voice (SPAM) stopped calling but the money kept coming out of my account. Every time money was deposited it was as quickly removed. It was taken via ZELLE or electronic check.
