I was scammed by Tecmax on 12/17/2024. I needed Tech help for my Canon printer. Canon website had phone # for tech help. I called that number, man named Ryan with Indian accent said he could help but needed access to my computer. I hesitated but was desperate to fix my printer. He said for $299.99 I would have 2 year of assist to "clean" my computer of the Trojan he supposedly found on my computer. He connected another person who did this very fast. Charged my credit card and done. I knew I had been scammed. The next morning I took my computer to local trusted tech help who legally cleaned my computer and verified this company was a scammer.
