724 IMPORTS Reports & Reviews (20)

Someone reached out to me stating they had seen my resume and they had a position for me. The offer seemed too good to be true, a remote date entry position for $35 an hour. The interview was conducted through texts through teams. I went through with the Interview answered a series of questions. He messages me next day stating I got the Job. Now he’s asking for bank info, ID, and social. I did not send it because it all seemed a little off. So I I did some research and seen multiple people online saying they got the same text from this guy. It’s a scam beware

Hi all,

I received the message today and spent more than 1 hr for interview. I passed and asked for sending ID. Then he asked for sending more personal information but I suddenly realized there’s something wrong. The company address is resident area not company.

I feel that I am so stupid to be cheated easily. Lucky, I didn’t give him my SSN.

In these days, so many fake matters in the whole World.

Message from Kevin Spencer

“ I'm Kevin Spencer from 724 IMPORTS LLC. Your resume was seen on CALJOB online application and we feel you would be an asset performing Online Data Entry (Work from Home position). Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay is $35.00/hr.”

Also a long fake job detail.

Be careful everyone who eagerly want to earn money.

Good Luck!

Received a text from Kevin Spencer regarding a job stating he found my resume on CalJobs. I sent him my email unknowingly that this is a scam. Something should be done about this because this is affecting people's lives as we are looking for legitimate work.

Got a text today from Kevin Spencer

“I'm Kevin Spencer from 724 IMPORTS LLC. Your resume was seen on CALJOB online application and we feel you would be an asset performing Online Data Entry (Work from Home position). Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay is $35.00/hr.“

Tried looking up the phone number, his name, 724 imports. All of it brought me here.

Sent an email accepting the position and got an email for a windows teams meeting 30 minutes later.

The teams messages were a bot chat, and the whole thing wreaks of scam.

If it’s too good to be true, it is.
Kevin is still at it

I just got this email today !

I had gone on CalJOBS to create an applicant profile and also created a resume about two days prior to the initial contact with the scammer through text message. His message stated that he had seen my resume on the CalJOBS website and that fact made me trust and respond to the following messages. His written communication was very professional using email, e-sign enabled forms to follow up with the hiring process. What made me doubtful about the offer was the flexibility of the training schedule. I realized I had not done my usual web investigation. And there it was more than one person had reported the guy.

Did they end up doing anything with your important information? such as your routing/account numbers?

I received the following text: "I'm Kevin Spencer from 724 IMPORTS LLC. Your resume was seen on CALJOBS online application and we feel that you would be an essential asset performing Online data Entry (Work from Home position). Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay is $35.00/hr." When I looked the company up online, there's no existing website and a few ScamPulse.com scam complaints show up on the internet search. I received an email, [email protected], to review the job position. $35/hr for a data entry job and working from home just sound really good. Our communication primarily took place via Skype, with his Skype ID being "live:.cid.289d83099b757601.", skype # is 480-442-9285. His cell phone # where he texted job posting is 562 263 3962. Realizing that this is likely a scam, I decided to continue interacting with them in order to ascertain the extent of their fraudulent activities. I kindly request your team's assistance in further investigating this matter.

Receive this I did my research glad I did.

Your resume was seen on CALJOBS online application and we feel that you would be an essential asset performing Online data Entry (Work from Home position). Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay is $35.00/hr." I replied that I was interested and spoke with Kevin via webchat. I searched CALJOBS and did not find a job posting for this position or any for this company. When I looked the company up online at first there was nothing found out of the ordinary. I went ahead and completed the paperwork and was going to start work the next day. I decided to try to research one more time and that is when I found the ScamPulse.com scam. I then called my bank and closed that account and let all the credit bureaus know. I hope nothing negative comes of this but want to let other know my experience just in case.

Did anything come of this experience?

I looked up information online and everything seemed shady. Can't find them on the Better Business Bureau and I read the others comments who received the exact same text in the last month and this is a total scam.

I searched CALJOBS and did not find a job posting for this position or any for this company. When I looked the company up online, there's no existing website and a few ScamPulse.com scam complaints show up on the internet search. I did not receive any emails or other methods of being contacted by anyone from this company. I didn't reply to the text either. $35/hr for a data entry job and working from home just sounds too good to be true--even in CA. When I google mapped the address, it shows a residential neighborhood.

I received the following text message, indicating pay for a data entry job at an unusually high rate of pay. Text indicates founds on CalJob website. This employer is not listed on the CalJob website that I could locate. ***** I'm Kevin Spencer from 724 IMPORTS LLC. Your resume was seen on CALJOB online application and we feel you would be an asset performing Online Data Entry (Work from Home position). Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay is $35.00/hr.

I received a text message offering me a Online Data Entry work from home position. I replied, and then "Kevin" requested an email address for further assistance. I haven't provided any additional information.

"Kevin Spencer" on July 12th' 2023, left a text message saying the following: I'm Kevin Spencer from 724 IMPORTS LLC. Your resume was seen on CAL JOB online application and we feel you would be an asset performing Online Data Entry (work from home position) Reply if interested for the job details. Starting pay $35.00/hr. I replied that I was interested due to the fact that I have been unemployed now for more than six months and that same day that I was contacted by "Kevin Spencer", I had been searching for work on the CAL Job website. The individual replied back thru texting saying: Hi kindly send me your preferred email address so I can share with you the job details and what it entails. I replied back with my email and the next day July 13th, I received an email with "job instructions". The email had a lot of information, including the equipment required to be able to perform the job duties, such as:

Time tracker and Time Recorder

MacBook or iMac

Insert-able Index Tab Laminating Machine and Bindings

Fax Machine, Printer, Mailing Machine, Digital Color Laser Copiers, Scanner, Shredder and Cutter, Attachable Audio And Visual Presentation Machine, Office Chair and Table, Computer Desk, File Cabinets, Bookcase and Safes.

Also these were the additional requirements:

Here are the names of the software programs:

Peach-tree Complete Accounting Software, CYMA IV for Windows Accounting Software, MYOB Business Essentials Accounting Software and QuickBooks Pro Accounting Software

These materials will enable you to carry out your daily assignment and duties you will need to get done. All working materials will be provided by the company and each has the company logo and has been configured to the company database.

I was offered this job without having any experience/knowledge of the required software, that prompted me to be suspicious of the legitimacy of the employment and the "training" would be for just a couple of weeks. The pay was also listed on the email as $22.00/hr and not the $35.00/hr as it was noted on the text message.

I kept the original email for evidence as needed.

He text me saying he got my info through caljobs, I got 0 background on the company throughout out text interview. When we were finished with the interview the guy had me wait like 10-20 mins guess that’s a scam technique, he also had a lot of conflicting questions. The whole thing seems off glad I saw this.
