Type of a scam Rental
I called on Saturday, May 10th, to reserve a tow for my vehicle scheduled for Monday, May 12th, at 8:00 A.M. They charged my card $250 before service and assured me that a tow truck would be there at the scheduled time. The tow truck never showed up and when I tried to contact the towing company, one of the phone numbers was no longer in service. I did find a phone number that was able to reach them and that is the one I have provided in this complaint. When I contacted them, the gentleman that I spoke with was not willing to refund my money and also refused to give me the physical business address. After stating that I was going to contact the police, he then hung up the phone. About 10 minutes later, a woman from that company called and said "Please do not call the police, we will refund your money". The gentleman that I spoke to told me that his name is Ben. The woman who called me later told me that her name is Esta. I missed my appointment because of them and the stress of making sure that the money was actually refunded. I have been told that this is a scam and should be investigated.
