An unknown number called my elderly mother claiming it was her grandson and he had been arrested and now needed bail money. He gave her a number to call, which I called shortly after. This number was for an “attorney” by the name of Lance Marshall. He proceeded to explain the “case” and say how embarrassed he was and I had to agree to an NDA so that I could not talk about it with anyone else or there would be legal consequences. He eventually told me how much the bail would be and ways I could send it, but encouraged a wire transfer. This is when I knew something was up. I then attempted to call my nephew and he answered and explained he had no idea what I was talking about and that he had not been arrested.
