This was a call received by my 80 year old mother. This person said he was with Consumer Debt and she had an outstanding medical bill for a blood panel from last year for over $800.00. When she asked for the doctors name or medical facility, he would not provide this information and stated that she had already received 4 or 5 bills that went unpaid. She then pressed for a contact name and number and he told her to look at her caller ID. She did not give any personal information but she pressed him for more information regarding this outstanding balance and to provide a itemized bill as proof of this debt but there was silence. He then demanded that she pay this bill out right over the phone. When she told him no once again that she did not owe anyone for any outstanding medical bills and asked for his number again so she could call him back, he then hung up.
