received text message from Jefferson Capital Systems LLC, which came from portal.shepherdoutsourcing.com...Didn't say why but gave a link to click on...I did not click on their link but looked the company up online and found out about the scam.

Text message insists that Shepherd Outsourcing is a debt collector that is collecting overdue debt from on a PNC Bank credit account (creditor Jefferson Capital Systems LLC). I have never had such an account and have validates such on my credit report. Text demands I pay in full by following a sent link to Shepherd Outsourcing portal. I have received 5 different texts about this since the first one on February 17th.

I’ve now received 4 text messages (Feb. 23, 25, 27, and March 4) that require me to login to view an unspecified debt, that then says they can’t find the debt and I need to call them to claim the debt. They asked for the last 4 of my social security number to login to the account with the auto generated account number.

I have received multiple text messages from number 91651 that tell me to pay the outstanding balance on an Aspire credit card from the Bank of Missouri. It includes the alleged balance amount and payment options. It includes that Shepherd Outsourcing is a debt collector and the License number 10916-99

They keep texting me, but I've never heard of either company and do not have any outstanding collections.

I refuse to click on the link in text or respond, since I feel this is a scam.

I received a random text containing a link to resolve my debt with JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS LLC.

An additional link was provided to the collection agency, and author of the text at Shepherd Outsourcing.

There was also a phone number provided with the offer to discuss terms of paying the debt. 888-991-5696

I have received the same or very similar text messages in the recent past, but delete them because I have confirmed with my credit report that I don't have any accounts or outstanding debts with the parties mentioned.
