A text tells me I need to call 218-607-1649 about a health policy unpaid balance. When I call the number they say they are the bill department for BCBS, United Health Care and Humana, they ask for name and birth date to look up information. They put you on hold when they come back on the line they tell you owe some dollar amount for a denied claim with the insurance company, they will tell you that they do not have access to the office that the service was done at, doctor name that ordered it, date of service they are just there to collect the unpaid balance. If you ask too many questions they threaten you with turning you over to collections, if you say that you will call your insurance company direct they get mean and say they are the insurance company that's why you need to pay right then. Again they will threaten with collection and a possible lawsuit. As I said I did contact my insurance company and I have NO outstanding bills.
