They contacted my mother to tell her that she was about to lose the chance to renew her warranty on her home.

What made us suspicious is that they used her maiden name and listed the address of her father, who lives in a house that she has never paid for.

The deed to the house is in his and his late wife’s name, not my mothers’.

Received letter in mail. Apparently it was a Final Notice letter saying that my home warranty was expired or about to expire. I called the number and asked for them to explain the letter to me. Halfway through the phone call I realized this was not the current company that I have. The lady said they needed to send in a technician to check my house because it was built 50 years ago. She then told me the amount I needed to pay monthly so that they could sent a technician any time that I needed one. She had also asked if I was the owner of the house. When it came to the money aspect I told her I needed to talk to my husband because I did not dispose of the money they were asking. She got mad and lost her temper. Thank god I did not disclose any important information. They just got the phone number, address, and name. But they had that before the call.
