On 10/03/2024 I called this fake company due to a voucher I received in the mail addressed to me by name earlier in the week. The voucher claimed that I was entitled to an unclaimed $100 reward/gift card and it was my final notice as if I had been contacted by them before which I hadn't. The voucher had a personal claim number on it and stated that the reward was valid at "Walmart, Target and more". When I called 1-855-283-0123 a guy answered and immediately asked for the verification claim number which I furnished. At that point after verifying who I was I thought my gift card would be mailed, the process was over and the call was complete. However at that point the guy proceeded to ask me for my bank account and routing numbers which obviously was a red flag for me. There was no way I was giving him my bank info so I attempted to give him my $CashApp info which before I could even finish he immediately cut me off and told me "they don't do business with them". At that point I saw scam written all over the interaction. Luckily I have a few different accounts so I gave him another account and routing number to another pre-paid account that I have which is completely empty at all times except for when I actually want to use it and it was accepted. 3 whole weeks later and I have recieved nothing and I am pretty sure they attempted to charge the the numbers that I gave them which obviously they could get nothing out of. Also on the mailed voucher there isnt even a company name, and I actually had to call them and ask them more than twice what it was which I was finally and reluctantly told Smart Shoppers. This fake company is a complete scam and in addition they have a few different people that are set up in a fake call center, men & women, and ALL of them seem to have foreign accents. If I had to guess I would say they sounded Indian or Middle Eastern. Please investigate and shut this scam down before someone who is not as perceptive as me gives up their information and gets their entire bank account drained.
