I contacted who I thought was the 24 hour customer service number for Venmo. The told my my account had to be verified. Then said my information had been used in Texas and somewhere else. Total they attempted to take totaling 2,000 and something. Said I needed to do a dummy transaction to verify. Them said information. was used for child porn site. So I needed to send 100 more dollars. Then relatedly called and sent requests for 100. Once I made it known I knew it was a scam and I was report, pressing charges, and getting a lawyer it all stopped and request cancelled
