I was approached about a data entry position that I applied for on LinkedIn or another job site. The recruiter, Simon Monroe, even legitimized the interaction by moving it into a Microsoft Teams chat instead of WhatsApp, like most scammers. The first red flag was the interview process, which was a series of written questions that required thought-provoking answers. It was weird that this was the interview, but I answered because no PII was requested. The second red flag was when I received the hiring paperwork. They requested my bank information as part of the onboarding process, not through a gated solution, but rather as a PDF that could be shared with anyone, anywhere. This is the form that was for the "Interview" https://app.formbricks.com/s/ubtg8sfix92eqg4mecqs5tbu . Attached is the onboarding documents.

Emailed me about a profile listed on CalJobs. I worked a training period for a week where I was promised $22/hour for 3hrs per day. They collected my ssn via a W4 and attempted to have me make business purchases on balances from an uncleared check. They have my full name, address, ssn, and a copy of my drivers license. Uploaded is the email where they attempted to have me purchase business items on unsafe funds and attached an electronic check.

This company, 180realtyservices.online, reached out to me on Handshake, asking me to apply for an administrative coordinator position. After filling out the application, I got an offer letter almost immediately without even a phone call or a follow-up interview. Having been turned down for several jobs after multiple rounds of interviews, this felt odd. They send me an offer letter along with a direct deposit authorization form and a W4. When I messaged the "employer" on Handshake with my doubts, she insisted that I should continue. When I messaged her a second time, the job listing vanished and so did her account on Handshake. I'm not sure what the scam is, perhaps they are attempting to steal my banking info or SSN, but it is very suspect that the operations supervisor copied on the offer letter email from [email protected] never followed up. The company's official website seems highly suspicious with only two real estate listings, neither of which looking like actual properties.
