“Linda Stasiak” contacted me to set up an interview with a William Kai for a procurement specialist position. The interview took place via teams chat, after the interview I was sent an offer letter that I returned and was sent an ACH form to set up my pay. They then said they would deposit money into my account to order my at home office equipment from their in house site. They then said ACH would not work and they sent a check for me to deposit, when it didn’t clear I began to question if they could send me the employee handbook or other documents and I was told they would send it on my first day and began pushing me to order the equipment. After my hesitation they knew it was up and stopped contact. I had to change account numbers since mine was now compromised and my dad who works at a bank looked into the check. The issuing bank is solely east coast which is strange for a company check based in CA.
