A 2023 Karavan 5x8 utility trailer was listed for sale at $650 on Craigslist (SF Bay Area) in Concord, CA. The seller, reached at phone number +1 (213) 275-5826, offered to "hold" the trailer in exchange for a small refundable deposit sent before providing the VIN. The seller used pressure tactics, saying "people are still texting me about it," and refused to share the VIN first, saying "I will send the VIN when I get home only if I still have the trailer." No money was sent and no loss occurred. This appears to be an attempted advance-fee deposit scam targeting trailer buyers.
