I received a phone call Wed. May 25, 2023 at 4:53 PM from Zynex Medical. When I answered the phone, Madison, (the lady that called) said "Is this "Jane Doe at 123 Main St." (not my real name or address) When I said yes, and she said that my Dr., Dr. XXXXXX had placed an order for a back brace for me on Tuesday, May 24th at 12:30, & that she needed more information. I told her I wasn't aware of any such order & said that I would ask my Dr. Madison told me that would be fine, that I had 30 days. I was suspicious of this call, and asked Madison if she could tell me about the back brace, and she said it was like a corset with strings and has velcro on it and that it was bulky but you could wear it under clothing. I emailed my Dr. & received a response this morning (May 25) that she hadn't placed an order, and that it was probably a scam & not to send any money. I called Zynex this morning & spoke with Leagy & told her that my Dr. hadn't placed an order. She asked for my birthday, & I told her that they had my address & would provide that so she could bring up the order. (Madison had my birthdate, but I didn't give it to Leagy) She asked if I wanted to proceed with the order and I said no, that it was a scam, and that I would be contacting my insurance company, Medicare, the FTC, and the BBB. I have contacted all of these & made a report to each one. I noticed on line that there are scams that call people offering back and leg braces. These people need to be stopped. Thank you.
