Kathy Chen said she was renting a home and my wife and I went to see it. Kathy said she was going to China the next day so we should move fast. We asked questions and she lied saying everything worked well. Nothing worked. We had given her first month rent and deposit and then told us we can just move and break the contract. She would not take the rent payment for the month of November, violently screaming she wanted CASH ONLY, which violates our rental contract and we were told she lived in a hotel and never given her address to us. She has a cell phone and a burner phone to make threats on and harrass us telling us she's a lawyer and threats to us are a daily routine. She filed to evict us so she could do this to another renter. She forged a default judgement against us and taped it to our door. We sorted it out with the court, but she has come over unannounced 19 times since we moved in. She keeps saying we better get out now and it is for no reason whatsoever. She is a master manipulator and all our neighbors warned us about her doing the same thing to a lady and her daughter from Indonesia. She successfully bullied them out. We are her current victims and realized she is not a realtor and said she was simply showing the house for her brother in China.

Thank you for the interest you have towards my house for rent. My wife and I are looking for a responsible tenant that will take proper care of the property while we are away, I will be relocating with my family. but since I just got transferred from my job, I have to rent out this property. I'll be away for some time. I work as a Pediatrician in an organization at the Christian care health system (christianacare.org). The property available for rent is in a convenient neighborhood that is peaceful and safe, It's 3 Bedroom and 2 Bath with 1,050 sq ft house located at (**** Ohio Street, Bangor, ME 04401) You can take a drive down there to take a look at the exterior of the Property. The rent is $1,514 per month while the Deposit is $1,514 and the rent includes utilities such as heat, water, gas, and electricity. You also have fully equipped kitchen, Refrigerator, Microwave, Gas Range, Dishwasher, Garbage Disposal, Hood Over Range, washing machine, trash disposal, air-condition, Internet, Cable, large living room with appliances including in-suite washer and dryer, electric heating, Wall Furnaces to enjoy. Pets are also acceptable. I will appreciate, if you can get back to me with your renting experience and how you can keep the place clean. whatever you think we should know. I had to take the listing off the website immediately. I had enough applicants. That's why it shows off the market. I look forward to hearing from you if interested, I have attached the rental application to this email.

Rented a house from Newport Companies, LLC with a move out date of 7/31/23. Landlord said security deposit of $750 was returned as undeliverable to their office and texted to see about a different address to mail the check to. It is now 9/9/23 and no check has been returned. Have called 7 times, emailed four times, and texted twice with no response. After researching this "company," I am convinced this is a scam as there is no response, no website, and no other information available to get in touch with the company.
