I asked to zoom chat, I wrote up a contract all of that was not acknowledged in their response back which was the same email everyone else has been getting.
Funny thing is I found it in my spam folder to begin with.
I think I'm gonna have some fun with this one because I've been almost scammed before so its deserved. What gave it away for me was them bringing their associate into it, its like bro, just pay me for my art, who cares from who.
As a graphic designer I've been applying for jobs like crazy and I get through the interview and to the "skill assessment" then they don't hire me... its like bruh, am I really that bad or do yall just want free work? I did a whole display ads set for this company, like ok. AND no critique! Even after I asked for one.

The person. contacted me through my graphic design website via email. He asked for a logo design and I quoted him at $300. He said be on the lookout for a check. Then a different person contact me and said hes out of the country but he mixed up the check and he put the cost of the logo and the printer cost on the same check and asked if once the check was deposited if I would mind using google pay to forward the other half to the printer once the check cleared and wanted confirmation once I forwarded the rest of the check. He contacted me through text. Once the check cleared I forwarded the money to a different email for the printer and then he canceled the check and kept the $2000 that I sent him.

Heres second: Hello Jenna, The associate just sent me an email regarding payment of your logo fee, There was a mix up from him. Though the payment to support our new company was due to his absence from the ceremony based on a business trip to Europe with the payment for 2 other partners (printing material supplier and printer) which I specifically sent their names and addresses. Instead of him getting separate payment, he wrote both amounts on a single check with your name written on it and already sent to you. I replied to his mail telling him that both the logo designer and printing material supplier and printer are two separate people. He said he's already out of the state on a one month business trip to Europe and there is nothing he can do about it. He suggests that you take the check to the bank when it arrives and cash it. It's an instant cash at any bank, deduct your fee for the logo and give the rest to the printing material supplier. Truly, I know it's not part of your logo service but as things stand now. Only your assistant and support is needed. Please don't let our dream and aspiration of a memorable new company skip us by. Please assist on this and we will forever be grateful.
