I was online then pop-up occurred which stated that it was represented by Microsoft and that I needed to contact a 1-800 number that would help me release my computer from it have a virus/malware/spyware. When I contacted the 1-800 number they informed me that they could remove the virus/malware/spyware from my computer for a fee. when I questioned them about the reputation as a company that is affiliated with Microsoft they used fake authentication processes in the form of icons and ID numbers which looked very convincing.
