Ryan ******* came into our building claiming he had extra asphalt from a previous job & wondered if we were interested in this opportunity to repave our parking lot at $7.00 / square foot. Our boss was definitely interested but a few of us had heard about companies going around Alberta claiming to be legit. My boss immediately wanted to know the $$ amount for the job. He was also requesting their WCB # & wanted a clear job description with the $$ amount specified. Within minutes, trucks showed up with the machines & tried to off load. My boss was like NO! Do not do anything until I check with my head office etc... My boss was given a local company's name where they had just done work for.... he called & was told that was a scam... trying to bill more than agreed to start & Ryan was very charismatic & very pushy with his sales pitch.

Ryan provided my boss with a business card so some of us went online & checked out the company... the online site was very fishy. We did not follow through with this at all. We contacted the RCMP to let them this company would be driving around in the area trying to target other companies & / or acreage-farmers in the area.
