I sent everything and it all checked out and I even sent my SSN but I get a text from this person.

Message from the ID.me Security team: Your identity KRISTA KAY-ELLEN VINSONHALER was used to log in to California EDD on 07/25. Was this you? If you do not recognize this transaction, reply N.

I replied N.

Please confirm you did not authorize the transaction at California EDD. Reply Y to report the unauthorized transaction.

So I replied Y.

The account has been suspended.

So now what happens.

They obviously used your information to open an unemployment claim. Please be careful out here. Any updates?

I got that same one. Is it really a scam?

I regret not checking this out before hand.

I was at first contacted by the number above in a text message from the Wolverine FFL Club, the 2021 $1.050 Billion winner of the Mega Millions Jackpot. Then I was given a link for the winning claim/interview.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xYQbhEatvc. Then was told in the same text that "We are donating $4500 each to 500 random individuals. We congratulate you cause your cell# was randomly picked after a spin ball. We have decided to help due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are donating $4500 to you as one of the selected 500 persons. To verify/claim your winning, please send a text with your full name to Lucas Guzman (971-307-7501), the agent in charge of your payment and identity verification." I contacted Mr. Guzman and he sent me to a verification partner called ID.me after the verification he said that everything is good and that the check would be arriving within 48 to 72 hours. That was on Friday July 9. 2021. The initial contact was on July 8, 2021. Haven't heard nor received anything.

I recieved a text. From wolverine full club. The same text I am reading here. To get my id.me because of the scammers wolverine has partnered with id.me to verify my identity for my winnings. Then call Jeffrey Shaw. Which I did, the text number is 336 - 615 - 5809. Jeffrey Shaw gave me his personal number 209 - 364 - 0660. He said he is a single father of two kids 12years boy and 7 1/2 girl was upset how scammer are using wolverine club to scam innocent people. He said the governor is involved to make sure people get there winning, and the government has taken over the winning this year to stop the scammers. I gave my driver's license front and back, my SSN. My id.me. my bank account, my password, username, debit cards front and back. With a long processing I was told my money the jackpot of wolverine which is $20,000 will be posted in my account in two business days. With my gullibility and trusting. I still feel something ain't right. So I came here to find out if I have been duped. My bank account has not been touched yet. I only have $597 in it. I think I should call the bank. Now that I see a lot of people 108, had the same experience. He is not answering the phone and my texts had not been touched. But how can it be such a sophisticated scam with the Wolverines YouTube advertising. He sent me his picture and mine was sent to him.

This is essentially their jobs. No one should ever need account names, passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc... to give you your winnings. Maybe your ID to verify you but that's it. Not even the companies that you have accounts with will ask for passwords! Just always be weary, no matter how nice someone seems or how truthful they appear to be with you. Keep your personal information private always! Have a blessed day! ?

they texted me from 862.233.5188 and said call Vince Joshua at 757.767.7331 to give your name to get 10,000.00 from lottery

Having recently learned that the hospital that lost my prescription eyeglasses is not going to at least help me replace them, for a moment or two, I thought, after getting this exciting text from the Wolverine FLL Club, that God or karma or the Universe is trying to correct the wrong that was done to me. Fat chance. Shame on whoever is involved...Karma is a b**** though...

I received a text stating the Oakland County lottery club winners were donating $5000 each to 2000 random people. At first I thought, damn that's awesome! But I thought about it further and it didn't make sense that the lottery winners would choose completely random people to give money to, instead of a reputable organization or something of the sort. Plus, they asked for my ID. If they were genuinely trying to give money to me, they would already know who I am and wouldn't ask for information because they'd already have information.
The text came from number 442.243.6444 and requested I send a text to a man named Philip Cameron at 213.338.3717.
They want a response? A picture of a big [censored] middle finger in the air would be an appropriate response. Or a dong pic.

Got same text but I haven't sent my pic of ID

Kindly text Mr. JOHN FAGALA now with a copy of your identification to get you verified and also have access to your funds…

Hoping this was not a scam but seems it is..

Seems to be a common occurrence, scanning the complaints below.
Like the text attached says, contacted by supposed Wolverine FLL Club with exciting news of being the lucky recipient of a cash prize being donated to 500 lucky individuals winning a phone number lottery pick. Text gave phone number to call and asked that full name be written in text. No money was being asked for, but along with full name, they asked for photo ID and verification through ID.me.
I texted them, attn: Jackson Ford, they asked for ID, which I sent, and then they asked that I send them code. That was a little over an hour and 15 mins ago.
Rather depressing... I'm recently made homeless and struggling to keep my 3 jobs active. Money is tight, bank account almost empty, and the Phoenix Metro Area has daytime temps hitting 110°+... and Monsoon season!
This text brought me a moments doubt, then I watched the YouTube Video linked...
"OMG! They're real! ...and not asking for any money! YES! A break!"
Not REAL... and who knows what they'll do with my AZDL. Already having identity theft issues. Why not compound my chaos!?!
It's sad, but we HAVE TO WATCH every little move we make in these times... so much chaos and pain, yet wonderous beauty and fortune, if one can see. BeWell!?

I was ok with sending my ID it was when they asked for my social security number I said nope no way then I found this page glad I did. And for an hour now he keeps trying to convince me to give my social I e told him it's not happening u verified me thru my ID and phone number u don't need social to send me a check I've asked him to leave me alone and still keeps trying

Got one as well. Letting them think a dong pic is on the way and leaving it with that. Stay safe everyone.

I got a text message from the Wolverine Fll club or so they said, but they wanted to give me money, they said I was chosen to receive this money, I'm a single mother of five children and I'm disabled, so at first I thought it was real and I was so happy because the pandemic has taken a toll on me but then they wanted too much personal information from me and I knew it was a scam, I told them how sad it is that they took a good thing that happened to good people and are now using it to scam people, they replied calling me a [censored] and said what they were going to give me will go to someone else now, I just want it put out there that this is going on and they're going to hurt someone because they're using the footage of them winning the Michigan lottery as proof they are who they say they are but once I questioned the amount of personal information they wanted I was called a [censored], I wish there was someone out there that could help me because for a minute I really thought my prayers were answered, I'm sorry I only have the phone number I gave you they texted me

I just gave them my info too thaught it was legit since they were picking people for the covid 19 lottery bs .wtf do i do now ..2 days in a row this started? This agonizing and frustrating

I received the same text message on my cell phone today (July 13, 2021) after not answering two phone calls earlier today.
Called the number the text was sent from (775-388-0260) and a man answered, saying "this is so-and-so, how may I help you?" I couldn't understand who he said he was (or who he represented), so I said "I'm sorry, who is this again?" and the guy hung up on me.
My text tells me to contact "MR GREG POWELL" and gives a phone number of "+1-702-637-3842" (not the number the text came from. I'm notifying the FTC or FCC and/or the FBI about this OBVIOUS SCAM.

Same exact message for me too. These people have no moral, no values and certainly no integrity. And I can't believe they're using covid to sucker people in. They are lower than low.
