Exactly the same has happened to me and I really fell for it. I’m usually careful about these kind of things. I didn’t give them any bank info but I did give them my driver’s license. Called a guy who ordered a chrome book and he agreed something fishy was going on because he was getting calls from banks and things of that nature.

This job was offered on Indeed. We were to repackage items and they would supply shipping labels for us to send the packages that arrived at our home too. At first it started off pretty simple with low quality cheap products we did not think twice about it. After a package from Lowe’s arrived and then another from a luxury brand from England, we called them out where they immediately deactivated us from the system and we are working with the companies now to get the product back to them. They are using their “employees“ as mules to move stolen goods. We also notified our local law enforcement and have been trying to increase awareness all over the internet.
