Wild Dirt Co. Reports & Reviews (6)

I i’ve been inquiring about land with this company for over a year. Each time I inquire they give me information and then when I get ready to make the purchase it is sold. But of course a different property is available at a higher rate. At first I thought the properties were selling fast but upon closer examination I found out there are certain problems with the properties.

Property in question that I was looking at did not have all the information I was seeking. Anyone who owns land would be able to tell you whether you could get water and not make you run around trying to find the city township clerk to let you know.

I had spoke with a rep in California who said I would have to contact the city to find out about water or drilling a well. He had never seen the property. He was trying to steer me towards the higher priced property of the three they were selling and I said I was interested in the first one that was the lowest price. I had already inquired about another one that was lower priced than this one and it had sold, yeah the ad is still up and that happened two times before.

I spoke with the California sales rep at 9:00 o’clock at night, but by the next day the land has sold after me doing research to find out that you can’t drill a well. These people have wasted my time several times and I’m upset because they are basic flippers who buy land for cheap and sell it at high prices to unsuspecting individuals. If you do any kind of research at all, you’re told the land is sold. The land is over priced so they will give you a finance option. My boyfriend and I were going to buy two plots right next to each other cash, but when I told them I needed another day to get ahold of someone about the water issue, they told me it suddenly wasn’t available.

They have a button right on the website to hold your property for $250. Of course that hold does not come off the price of the property at some other fee.

Buyers should be aware, anyone selling land knows everything about the land they are selling. If not they are just buying and selling fast to make profit and you don’t know what you’re getting. Anyone can put up a Google Earth video. Pretty pictures everywhere but none of the exact place. It’s too bad that people like this exist in the world, and called themselves real estate investors. Plain and simple scams on the unsuspecting.

LN, I see you wrote a couple bad reviews here. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. It sounds like your main complaint was our bad communication? All of us do this part-time. And yes, we buy and sell property, and do have payment plan options.

It sounds like you would have liked to actually buy this property, but are upset it sold before you were able to get a chance. This is one of our goals actually, to sell property fast at affordable prices. Everything we sell is just raw land, and unimproved.

We expect every one of our buyers to to do their own research with the county, check the rules and regulations regarding what they want to do with the property. If were to tell you something, and it is wrong, that would cause even bigger problems!

I have been trying to buy a piece of land from them for at least a year. Every time I find one, it’s sold and then they offer me a higher priced one. Last night I spoke with one of their reps who lives in California even though the land is in Minnesota. He couldn’t tell me if I could drill a well. So I said OK I will call and find out if you can give me one day I can talk to the city planning. So I spent the whole day trying to get a hold of someone because it’s a township. One woman told me that she didn’t think well would be possible near the sewer line? Being a first time land owner I needed to know these things. We could also be because the land is close to wetlands, regardless all you get in a documentation is the GPS coordinates some pictures of the general area and a video from above off of Google Earth.
When I asked the representative today if he could give me another day because I couldn’t get info on drilling he said, “sorry it sold” hmm and it sold without him bothering to tell me this morning. We are talking a difference of 12 hours here, most of which was overnight when people were sleeping. I doubt it’s sold I think they just don’t want me to buy it because I’m onto them. Regardless don’t waste your time with these people. They are plain and simple flippers that don’t know much about the land at all they just want to make money off you at your expense.

LN, I'm sorry you had issues with us, and it sounds like the township as well. I replied to your other complaint above too.

I wish we could spend more time educating all our new customers, helping them research and plan the things they would like to do with the land. Navigating the red tape is one of the hardest parts of developing raw land, and putting in a well can cost many more times than the land costs itself.

NOTE: This comment and posting is under belief that this business is a scam, I do not make claim of 100% accuracy, that this business is fraudulent. As a concerned citizen looking to invest in vacant land, I need to be sure that this business is legitimate. In no way there is any attempt to defame, discredit, or dismantle the Wild Dirt Co. business in question.

My wife and I were looking to purchase land for a cabin getaway project.

but when we contact Wild Dirt Co. ( Billy Kwok) we both got really fishy emails and text messages that didn't quite

make sense after further review of why the property was so cheap. thus causing us to look further into who this person might be.

and of course there isn't much information on them, nor true profiles of pictures of who they might be.

luckily we did not make a purchase from these people. when we asked about legal information such as, ( warranty deeds, and clean title search) responses stopped. seems like they were quick to get the land sold. all the asked for was full name our address, and how we wanted to go about putting our name on the warranty deed.

Hello! I'm the person in question. Billy Kwok. I'm not a big company, but here is my website: www.wilddirtco.com

Sales phone number: (480) 680-8060

Feel free to reach out to me! I'm not sure why the OP didn't come to be personally with his/her concerns.

I'm also not sure what happened with this customer, as their name is not in my records, but if our pricing was too cheap, that could be a valid criticism. I also do this all shoestring, so obviously might not seem as professional as I should. Sorry about that!

Reach out to me with any issues!
