Welcome Center Reports & Reviews (2)

Received call offering free vacation choices including cruise. No money needed. Pass to supervisor who tried to make appointment for me. Was told to bring 2 forms of ID, one of which must be a major credit card. I told them I would bring drivers license and passport. Nope, it had to be a credit card only to show them. They are set up at the Newport Beachside Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, FL in 3rd floor meeting room.

Caller claimed to be with “Welcome Center” Travel Agency in Saint Augustine, Florida. Caller claimed to be spreading word of their company by mouth by offering exclusive grand opening tickets to couples with a free round trip vacation anywhere in the United States with two days of hotel accommodations included to everyone who claims their tickets and attends the event. They provided the company name again, along with an address for the alleged grand opening, then passed the call to another person to collect personal information. I did not provide any information at all, but Googled the provided company name and address when I found no account of this scam being reported yet. I confirmed that the provided address is residential, not commercial, and informed the caller they would be reported.
