Seiko watch from Volices arrived late and malfunctioning
I purchased a Seiko SSC813 Chronograph watch through Volices. At the time of purchase, the estimated shipping timeframe was listed as 2–5 business days. However, I did not receive the item until 21 days after placing my order.
Upon receiving and inspecting the watch, I identified a significant functional issue that raised serious concerns about its authenticity. The lower subdial, which serves dual functions as a power reserve indicator and a chronograph minute counter, failed to return to the expected "60" position when the chronograph was activated. After the issue occurred, I recalibrated the watch and tested it again, but the same malfunction persisted.
This malfunction raises serious concerns that the watch is counterfeit or contains a non-genuine movement rather than the Seiko-manufactured V192 solar chronograph movement specified for the SSC813 model. The watch's failure to operate as expected is inconsistent with what I would anticipate from a genuine Seiko product.
