VidaPur charged me for a subscription I never agreed to
A website from the company VidaPur (wellnesstips360.com) produced misleading information about the costs of items. The items, CBD Gummies, were said to have sale for $10 a bottle and to buy 3 and get 2 more free. There was also a flash up picture offering an additional bottle for free, if placing an order. An order was placed via online and debit transaction mid July 2023. Later that same day, information of bank account showed a $215.68. I immediately called the number 888-204-1039 on the email of purchase ([email protected]) and explained I did not want their oil or cream or any other materials. I specifically said that I only wished to make this one time purchase to review the items. I asked why the ad showed $10 a bottle and i was being charged $39.80 a bottle. I was told that the $10 was a discount for ordering a 3 supply. I agreed to the price of $119.40 for 5 bottles. I was told the returning of money for the other items would take 3 to 5 days, depending on financial institution. I confirmed I understood that.
Today, August 2023, I found a charge of $140.07 on my finance bank account. I called the same number and informed them, I made no other purchase and wanted to know why they were charging me this amount, as well as I want the full amount returned. I was told that it was a subscription. I explained I never wanted or agreed to a subscription and the fact when I had called a month earlier to stop them from charging and shipping the lotion and cream, I was doing a one time purchase for review. I also explained, I had not received any other items from them and charging me for a subscription without accepting or being sent items was wrong in business practice. After being forced more sales pitch, the person on the line said they would cancel the subscription. I was told the refund would be sent back to my bank and take the 3 to 5 days. I acknowledged the time frame.
Still the same day August 2023, I noticed that a fraction of the $140.07 was being returned in an email. $49.07 was not even half of what they charged without sending an items to me. I called the 888-204-1039 again. I attempted to explain the whole scenario 'that I never agreed to a subscription' and wanted a full return and never received any new gummies. This person attempted to provide information that the items were on the way and the other customer representative agreed to give a 35% return. I attempted to stay calm and again provided information that i specifically announced and said on the initial purchase this was a one time buy. After going around and around, the representative said they can do a 15% extra return and would make sure the subscription is cancelled. I gave into accepting the 50% return of $140.07 to be done with VidaPur, even though I have not received any other of their product and feel doubtful I will see product they say is coming. In total, I lost $77.
