Impersonation scam targeting Verizon mobile service
I am reporting an impersonation scam targeting my mobile service provider. On June 9, 2026, I received a fraudulent email from '[email protected]' claiming that a payment on my account had been declined. The email directed me to click a link to resolve the issue.
Shortly after, I received a phone call from individuals impersonating company representatives. They pressured me to click the link provided in the email while on the phone with them. When I questioned their methods and requested to have a third party on the line for verification, the callers falsely claimed that 'three-way calling is prohibited,' which is a known tactic used by scammers to isolate victims. I did not click any links, did not provide any personal information, and ended the call. Please be aware that legitimate companies will not pressure you to click links during a live call or prohibit you from having a witness present.

Scammer posing as Verizon fraud department hijacked our phone lines
Lisa asked if I had ordered an iPhone to be delivered to California to a Natalie Bert. Also, did I authorize to have my network changed. I hadn't done either of those things. She claimed to be with Verizon fraud and said she could remedy the situations. She proceeded to send me 2 authorization codes that I was to read back to her. I did. She gave me advice on how not to get scammed!! Ironic! She gave my zip code and asked me to verify the rest of my address, which I did. She did not ask for credit card or social security information. After the call, we went to Verizon immediately and they said it appeared to be a scam. Unfortunately, several hours later, my husband and my phones were inoperable as our network had been changed. Verizon resolved the situation but I am afraid we are still vulnerable. Today I received an unsolicited credit card in the mail with an 888-533-5576 customer service phone number and the web site Bilt.com. I am not going to activate this as I fear this too is a phishing expedition!

Total money lost:$99.94
Type of a scam:Tech Support
I recieved a text message stating that because I was a Loyality customer to Verizon they had paid my bill and If I paid shipping of 7.95 I would receive a genz watch. Now I called to verify if this was true and she said yes. So the watch was delivered and it was a horrible product and I received my credit card statement and it showed a purchase of 99.94 with this number 8556771739, so I called them and told them I wasn't to be charged for this watch and she said that it was only a trial and I have to pay for it, I told her that is not what I was told and that she scammed me at that point she hung up on me. I then contacted Verizon and they had no record of this and I surely got scammed. Also contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. They mentioned they were a 3rd party in flordia for Verizon.
I do not have the text message because I have been with Verizon for 30 years, When I received the watch I figured the deal was complete.

Recorded call said my Verizon account was suspended. I chose the "talk to a representative" option to tell them off. Instead of a person, I got another recording saying "For security reasons, please enter your identification PIN." That's when I hung up.

Iphone X. Convince some one in need of making some quick money to sign several contracts with promise to pay the remaining balance and never do. Leaving the victim stuck with a 2000 bill. If any one comes about offering $100 to go and purchase on your credit a iPhone x or any phone. Report them to the authorities right away! They are scammers. I didn't realize i was being scammed until the third man involved came into best buy too wanting a 3rd phone off my credit lucky for me the computers were slow at processing causing the third man to be frustrated enough to leave it be. it's only $2000 that I can easily pay off quickly. But buyer be ware!!!
