Caller identified himself as from Verizon. Offered a deal to cut my monthly Fios/Wireless bill by almost 50%. (He had found out my monthly bill amounts.) I had to purchase $1600 of Apple gift cards to pay for the first 8 months upfront. In addition to the number he called from, he also provided a phone number for his Billing and Finance Dept: 855-285-1655. Lastly, he provided an authorization code (VF2061) to use when I called back with the gift card info. That's as far as it went before I sized this up as a scam attempt.
