I received a notice from Verizon stating my account was past due of $213.17 and was told it could be paid online or over the phone. I called the number given and when I asked for the number attached to the bill he gave me our office number. This number is a number given to us by the local telephone compay. We do have a Verizon account, but the account number and telephone number is different from the one in the letter. I hung up on the guy and within 5 minutes, he called back and apologized for the disconnection and suggested we go ahead and make the paymeent. I told him that I did not make payments to Verizon over the phone and hung up.
