Re: VELOUR TORONTO. I was taken in my a story on Facebook about two grannies who owned a high end shop in Toronto. They were closing the store and having a going out of business sale so they could spend more time with their grandkids. I love a deal and was duped. I went to the website and missed the red flags; no phone number, no address, no business hours. I ordered three items and realized it was a scam when I got the shipping tracking number and say it was shipping from China and not Toronto. I contacted the business and they responded but refused to acknowledge that they were misleading people and wouldn't provide a refund. I received the items and they are essentially garbage. The seams don't align, the zipper doesn't work, the arms one one jacked (a large) are so small my child can't fit their arms in it. A matching set, is completely different colours. Poorest quality clothing I've ever received.

I opened a claim with Paypal and received a response from the seller. They indicated I would have to return the items for a refund and that I would have to pay $120 for shipping to China. No, this is a scam. I did some digging and they are false advertising. There is no store by that name in Toronto, nor has there ever been. The tracking link from one of the emails now sends to a sister site, Pure London, with the same products and story but advertised as based out of London. The tracking email now links to a totally different site, which the seller denies.

I want to warn others away from this online retail scam. Don't buy from Velour Toronto. The store doesn't exists. Don't waste you money or let the story about the grannies pull on your heartstrings. I've never felt so foolish.
