The Pitch: Scammers contact individuals—often claiming they found a resume on sites like Indeed—offering a lucrative "work from home" job as a package inspector or freight forwarder. The Trap: They will instruct you to receive packages at your home, inspect them, repackage them, and print new shipping labels to send them elsewhere. The packages frequently contain stolen items or goods purchased with stolen credit cards. Identity Theft Risk: During the "onboarding" or interview process, they ask for highly sensitive information such as the front and back of your driver’s license, a selfie with your ID, and W-2 forms. No Pay: When it comes time to receive your first paycheck (often after a 30-day delay), the scammers will stop answering or block you entirely.

I was hired to take photos of packages and print off labels and go to my local drop off place to drop off the package and report it on the dashboard and I've been doing it for a month and when it came time to get paid, I quit receiving emails or phones calls and never got paid for my time, gas or labor.

I was called about a job offer that I applied for on Indeed. They said they’re new to America, it’s a work from home job, all you do is inspect packages and you will receive your money. Some packages will come in your name, some will come in other people’s names. They constantly call you about their packages. But when you need them to pay you your money, they go around it, or they just completely stop answering. Luckily I didn’t give them my social or my real bank account.

I was given a portal website called "dash-Velmora.com" where I would receive packages, take pictures of the product, get a printed label and box up the product and ship it out to UPS. I was told I’ll be paid on 06/11/2026 and have not yet to receive any payment nor have I received any more emails from them. My identity was definitely taken and could affect anything I apply for in the future. ALS money was taken from me as well and I truly expect to be paid back for the lost funds.

- West Palm Beach, FL, USA • May 26, 2026

I was contacted about the remote job that pays 4100 base pay and for every pickup $100 and deliveries are $45. I made multiple pickups and have multiple deliveries and receive nothing just a simple lockout on the dashboard. I called human resource, I emailed human resource, I called my manager supervisor, no answer, no return calls or messages. This is ridiculous and needs to end. Hopefully they get investigated and be accountable for all the scams they did.

Basically I went on indeed apply for a job, when I found this I thought perfect high pay and I can work from home. First time I got a call from them everything Velmora Logistics sounded normal but a couple calls in I noticed it was a scam I told them I’m not working from them and it sounded like a scam.

- Lithonia, GA, USA • May 15, 2026

They contacted me about a job offer which sounded very much legit. Then once “hired” I noticed red flags in regard to them being about the packages no background check and asking for my account number & bank information. They didn’t state what would be in the packages.

- Falls City, NE, USA • May 14, 2026

Velmora emailed me with a job offer to check packages and reship them back out. I would make 4100 a month but could make up to 5400 a month.

- Kaufman, TX, USA • May 13, 2026

I was contacted by Frank Molina stating that I would make $4100 per month to ship packages received at my home. He sent me an email asking for name first and last, address, email and photos of the front and back of my government issued ID and a selfie of me holding said ID. Then asked me questions such as if I am able to securely receive packages at my home and sent me a contract to sign and return. He stated that once I complete my background check that the manager would contact me to complete the hiring process. He stated that I can be paid by direct deposit, PayPal, Western Union or MoneyGram.
