I purchased a hair product, Maybe-Paris, on June, 2026. It arrived on July 6th. It was definitely not for me; it made my hair straw-like and had an off-putting odor. I emailed them and asked them how to proceed with a return/refund. On their website, they state: "30 days, no conditions. If your hair isn't visibly smoother and shinier after your first use, contact us for a full refund," so I expected no issues. That was not the case. Several emails later, they were still arguing with me that I could get used to the odor, that I should try it again. Finally, I decided to get in touch with PayPal to formally dispute the charge. What did I find out? They had me on a monthly subscription program. I never signed up for that, nor would I ever with a company that would be new to me. Additionally, I discovered that this is some little hustler in Inglewood, CA, scamming me and, obviously, others with one product or another, and falsely adding on a subscription program without the customers' consent.
