This scam calls every day, multiple times a day, from different local numbers. An AI "admin" asks if I am interested in protective coverage for my future funeral expenses. If I follow through to see what comes next, "she" transfers me to a real person, "Chris" who then tries to see such coverage.

I have been receiving multiple calls a day from spoofed phone numbers that are disconnected or not in service when I call to verify. Today I was called from (727) 496-1449, this number when called actually went through. I have called back multiple times & someone picks up each time. When questioned they say they are located in Clearwater Florida and are a brockerage. This number is probably spoofed, because there is a tell tell tone that plays when switching to the actual number, but this is the first time they made a mistake & didn't spoof the phone number in America they are spoofing from. I know it doesn't matter, but someone has to make this stuff stop.

Constant robo-calls using spoofed area code calls (matching ours) from U.S. Funeral Expenses. 11 so far today (Friday); 20 Thursday; 10 Wednesday; 21 Tuesday....been going on for weeks now. Robo female voice says you are eligible for special plans to cover funeral expenses, very scripted questions, hangs up if you decline to reply to PII-type questions (age, health issues, benficiaries, etc). If you pretend to play along you can eventually get to a live person, always a male, always with strong Indian accent. He hangs up immediately if you answer a question 'wrong' (i.e. you have any health issue), or try to ask him anything about the company, and especially if you politely ask him to put you on a 'do not call' list. But then they call back in a few minutes, again and again. Tried hanging up before answering for a full day, but the next day I got twice as many calls. Tried sending all to voice mail, clogged my VM box full immediately with long silences. I called back on the numbers for a while, found that most were legitimate businesses or individuals, upset that their number had been used. This is harassment; calls from 7:15AM to 8:50PM. My only chance to avoid this is to pay a monthly fee for a premium robo-call blocker since the free services don't offer blocking specific area codes. I can't have my phone stop taking calls from unknown no's since I get legitimate calls that I can't afford to miss, where the number used wasn't yet in my contacts list. When will this end? It is harassment, calls from 7:15AM to 8:50PM. Good thing I don't own a gun, and that I can't track them down. No address on their website, just numbers to call. Is there anything we can do to stop these people?

Got a sudden call with an origin in NC. When I picked up, I was recieved by a female voice that was clear (to me) to be an AI TTS system running through a scripted dialogue tree. There was also (obvious to me) fake background "office ambience" playing under the voice to further sell the (wrong) idea that youre talking to a real person in a real office. Their intro that didnt allow for interjection concluded with asking for my age, which I didnt give them, instead, I asked them to identify their company, to which they claimed to be (paraphrased, I do not have a transcript of the call:) with US Funeral Expenses, based in Florida and operating internationalally. Their explanation ended with asking for my age again. I tried avoiding the question and askinf further to find out more, but by doing so, I guess I accidentally indicated I likely wouldnt be a victim to them, so the robot cut me off with "we should discuss this later" and hung up.

I got registered on the Federal Do Not Call list to stop these very calls two years ago. Every single day I get at least one call from this recorded caller, sometimes slightly different messages but all aiming for a “yes” to a question that when answered does not seem to affect anything with getting someone on the line. The numbers are always different, except for being in my (682) area code so they are also IMPOSSIBLE to block. Obviously spoofed. I am a terribly disabled widow with an adult son with autism. Unwanted calls are not just irritating in my household. These calls are an ordeal. They cause my son and I extreme anxiety attacks. Mine, mostly due to my son’s anxiety inability to control his anxiety attacks. These crooks are not any different than people breaking into our home to rob us of what peace we can manage to get, and I do not believe there is no way to stop it. The phone companies we pay for services from should be compelled to stop selling phone services to people who do not have a legitimate business or traceable phone number. The phone companies are the ones who also need to be held accountable for cash grabbing from scammers who use their services. I’m sure those scammer people pay a whole lot more for all those services per month than any of us customers do. I’m sure that would have something to with phone companies unwillingness to stop it. T Mobile is my carrier and have been for many years. I’ve called repeatedly trying to get help with blocking these creeps and a few other relentless callers. They claim inability to do anything about it. Their advice was to get a scam blocker, however, I get calls from people I do NEED to be able to receive calls from that are sometimes from a no caller ID phone number, like the Social Security Administration!! The real ones, not the spoofers, of which there are many… also paying for phone service.

I get calls now and then from old friends who have changed their phone numbers so theirs also comes up as “scam likely”, so blocking, so blocking those numbers is not a decent option. That is the very reason most people have a phone, Is it not? To be able to get calls from their friends and families? This is a gross injustice that is being allowed to continue, due to politicians with their grubby little hands in corporate pockets, getting “lobbied “ by the sorry, equally corrupt phone companies to keep them from listening to the public outrage over this problem.

I have been getting 3 robocalls a day from "Hannah" or "Danielle Green". "Danielle" states she is returning a call even though she is a robot.
