I got a call saying i had won a government grant. I was to go purchase $750 in amazon gift cards and send pictures/ numbers and i would receive a $500,000 grant for "citizen community purposes" I knew this was a scam but had to ask why an amazon card. The man on the phone had a heavy accent. He said that Amazon and the Government had a "payment agreement " and that is why i needed to go get amazon cards.

Just had an interesting phone call... So I've heard that there are these scammers out there that call and all they want is for you to say the word "yes" then they add that recording to whatever and use it to validate charging you.

Anyway, This was a call from someone with a thick accent pretending to be from the US grant department. He did his little talk then, pay attention here, he said, "I bet you are wondering why you have been qualified to receive this grant, right?" *Whoa, nice try*

Threw him off guard when I said, "No, I'm not" After I explained that I was well aware that he was a scammer, he switched tactics...

"You know that this is a scam right?"

"Can I scam you?"

"Just say yes!"

"Say yes please"

"Say yes"

Tricky scammer, better luck next time!

Received a phone call from "Michael" of the Fed Government US Department of Grants saying that because my bills are paid on time and I have never filed bankrupcy I am eligible for a $9000 grant. How did I want to receive my money, direct deposit for checking or savings or Western Union money gram or plastic card? Told him was not sure so he told me my confirmation # was AR1** and when decided to call 646-504-8733. The second call was only going to grant $7900 and it was from George Martin. My confirmation code was AL65** and to call to get my money was 646-652-0733. The second call was from North Dakota 701-156-3040. I never fell for it but am still getting calls from different Phone #'s and I am telling them to never call again.
