The first letter that I received first was for $40.00. I sent a check to them because I thought it was legitimate. Then on 05/06/24 I received another for letter telling me that I owe $4204.70. It doesn’t make sense so I believe it’s a scam.

The letter states that I owe 15% of my Social Security in order to resolve a debt through the Veterans Health Administration. The address is P.O. Box 830794 Birmingham AL 35283-0794. I lost $270.80 on my debit card.
