I was contacted along with several others by text message from this number asking is to click a link to make money.

- Fairfield, CA, USA

These two phone numbers call me and say they have papers to serve me but refused to identify themselves and want my date of birth and social security number. I refuse to give her that information and she said she will see me in court and hung up on me.

My husband responded to an ad ( around 07/06/2018) on craigslist for a used winniebago minnie 2005. He called the phone # in the ad. The person asked him to make the payment in Amazon gift cards. Subsequently he received a receipt via email (the email looked like it came from Amazon and had Amazon's logo). He never received the promised RV or any of related paperwork for inspection.

The phone # listed on the ad does not work (i.e., no one answers the phone).

My husband then went filed a incident report with the local police station .

We would like the money paid to be refunded.

- Farmington, UT, USA

Someone called me from (216) 352-6872 number. He told me that I am qualified for a refund for computer maintenance service I received in 2017 because the service company has been closed. He further said he is from BBB. But in order to refund my service fee I paid in 2017, he needs to get into my computer because it needs to be done via online. I asked send me an e-mail in detail or send me a refund check. But he said it cannot be done that way and it has to be through online. I immediately felt that something is not right; so I told him to keep the money himself and hung up my phone.

- Sacramento, CA, USA

My sister received a call from an unknown person claiming that they are in the process of filing a lawsuit and or judgement or contact place of employment and gave me a phone number to call (254) 863-1200 no one answers but they want you to leave your contact number. Sounds like a scam to me. BEWARE!!

On Friday, January 4, 2019 at 3:40 pm EST, I received an automated greeting telling me that I have credit cards and that I can lower the interest rates by pressing 9. With no intentions, because I have one interest free credit card, I was curious to know where they get their information. Got a live person (male) on the phone and I asked, "which credit card are you talking about?" He said, " any of them." Then, I said, "Which bank?" Then, he said, "let me have your card number" Then, I said take my name off the call list. He said, "no" Then I said, "let me speak with your supervisor" He said, 'No, let me have your card number so I can help you" Then I said, " I will give my card number to your supervisor" He said, "no" then disconnected.

My phone number is being used in a phishing scam. The remote device calls someone (not contacts of mine) multiple times in a row late at night, but my number is displayed as the number dialing. To be clear I am not making any of these calls and my call log has no outbound calls. The person calls back concerned that I need help-it is unclear what the caller is asking of them since they missed the call. ATT is unable to do anything to prevent my number from being displayed, but are aware of this scam.

- Moyock, NC, USA

Received phone call from this number and they asked if I was (my name). They said this was Marcus and if I could talk. I believe this was a scam to get me to say “yes”

Listed car on *** Contacted by Karen -- my father would love this car

Karen asked how her father could contact me

I provided email

The father sent a couple of innocent emails

He followed with an email requesting use of https://www.carhistorydetails.com to qualify for his loan.

I send *** instead which was selected by me (testing)

Got another email insisting I use https://www.carhistorydetails.com (An indirect way to ask for money)

Very obvious it was a scam at this point.

Got a phone call from 210 714 3091 wanted me to confirm my social security number! I tried and ask who is this and they wouldn’t tell me anything until I confirmed my social! So I’m definitely concerned who these jackrabbits are!

- Columbus, OH, USA

Call is a recorded message. options are to press 1 to speak to someone or stay on line to hear message. I missed the call so I had a voicemail.

Caller does not state name, name of company or any other identifying information. Calling for someone that used me as a contact. States the following: there is a legal investigation, and it is in my best interest to cooperate before final processing of legal documents being forwarded to my local summons division. She says I may become a person of interest if they cannot locate the person they are actually looking for. Want me to call to discuss my involvement in their investigation. To avoid processing I or the person they are actually looking for must call their office today. I called, it just rings! I don't know where they are calling from(city, state or country).

While the recorded voice is different from other messages I have received, the MO is the same. Other numbers I have received pretty much the same message from are 614-335-9330, 614-335-9335, 833-835-9700, 833-792-9220, dating back to July 2018. I block one number and they call from another. The one time I answered the person was very rude and threatening!

- Arlington, TX, USA

Caller identified himself as a local electricity provider and asked if I could hear him. I answered yes and he hung up.

- Gardner, KS, USA

Young womans voice speaking fast and loud like she is not close to phone "Hello can you hear me?" I said yes. Then again "Hello can you hear me" I said yes then hello. I hear what sounds like a recorded hello back. I think the entire thing was a recording.

- Chicago, IL, USA

Scammer asked if they can hear me and I said yes which I didn't know it was part of a scam.
