UnitedHealth Group Imposter Reports & Reviews (4)

I filled out an application fire a job and the next day, early morning I received a text from the number 419-544-7688 and he said his name was John Rex from UnitedHealth Group company and I was selected for a remote job starting at $20/ hour to train and $30/ hour after that. Ask me if I have a Telegram Messenger or Signal App where an interview will be conducted. Told me to download and add the Hiring Manager number which is 970-458-1560 and message him when I have it setup. Did all that, went through the interview, got the job and he said I would be getting a certified check via mail to deposit and buy equipment. I just finished this interview about 30 mins ago and started to do research myself. Low and behold I put the number in and sure enough it’s spam‼️🤦🏽‍♀️ I haven’t messaged him back yet as I’m suppose to be getting a check tomorrow, well I definitely won’t be depositing that check in my account. People be very careful, if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is.

I filled out and application on the providers app on my phone and the next day received an email for an interview. Reading the email I had to download an app called signal for the interview process and enter this code - KN095. Went thru the interview process which was automated and got the job. Next steps were to fill W-4 form and send in a copy of my ID and stupidly I did that and was told that I would receive a check the next day via certified mail and I did and was instructed to deposit the check into my account and pay for software that was required for the job. And that was me sending a cash app to someone of the name of Charles Cooper. Then it got more suspicious after that when the supposedly hiring manager asked if the money cleared or was it available and he became consistent about the money and I called my bank and was informed that the check was returned and now I have a negative balance in my account. Went back to the app and called the hiring manager and he did not answer and they confirmed that I had been scammed.

The job offer was data entry

They told me I have to have a checking or savings account and that they would send me a certified check in the mail to order my equipment to use for working at home. They sent me a letter of employment to sign and a w4 form to fill out. Then I was told to inform them when the account was open once I told them it would be a hold on the check that's when I was asked if I had $100 to $350 and I would be reimbursed and that's when I stop
