I applied for a customer service rep job and got a text back to fill out some more info. Got "offered the job" and went through a fake workday profile, full onboarding process and then sent to deposit an E-check for a home office equipment budget. Thankfully bank checked it for me and confirmed it had tons of red flags (fake account number, business name doesn't match etc). If deposited, they would pull it back out and take thousands out of my account. Since this didn't work out they stole my identity and tried to open lines of credit. Be sure to freeze or put fraud alert on all your credit bureaus if you gave these people any info.
